Breaks when you look at the Highlands country side
Stretching from simply north of Pitlochry, through Grampians and Cairngorms, Strathspey, Ross and Sutherland right-up to Caithness at Scotland’s north tip, it's an enormous location, that will be as scenically diverse as it is breath taking.
There will be something for all right here - climbing, snowboarding and sailing in the Cairngorms, mountain cycling, hill hiking, a giant variety of wildlife (on land, ocean and environment), beautiful beaches, picturesque villages across the Moray coastline, castles and stately homes, record is endless. No surprise it really is certainly one of Scotland’s favourite vacation destinations.
Orkney is a gem and also this wonderful set of countries offers far, much more than is fitted into one getaway including wonderful shores and rugged cliffs.
The eastern Highlands covers the region north of Inverness to John O' Groats in the north-east tip of mainland Scotland westwards to Loch Eriboll from the northern coastline.
There are lots of treasures really worth going to including the Ebony Isle, the fine tennis links which line the coast around Golspie, the spa city of Strathpeffer, the fishing villages and the sandy beaches and rugged coast of the north coast. The numerous rivers, lochs and moors inside north tend to be preferred for fishing and shooting.
Near Fort William
The west Highlands addresses the location from Fort William from the west shore to Durness on the north coastline. This will be very beautiful areas of Scotland - characterised by magnificent hills leading steeply down to long thin sea lochs and large sandy bays and shores, with stunning views towards Skye as well as the Little Isles within the south therefore the Outer Hebrides within the north.
